At least 7 dead, 46 injured in ROK’s office building fire

SEOUL – At least seven people were confirmed dead and 46 others wounded in a fire that broke out in an office building in the southeastern city of Daegu, South Korea, Yonhap news agency reported on Thursday, citing the firefighting authorities.

Seven people were found dead, and 46 people were injured after inhaling smoke. Dozens of others fled from the building.

About 50 fire trucks and 160 firefighting personnel were dispatched to the scene and extinguished the flame about 20 minutes later.

The exact cause of the incident, not ruling out a possible arson, was under investigation.
