SEOUL – The Democratic People's Republic of Korea's foreign ministry on Wednesday criticized what it called US "imprudent interference" in China's internal affairs over House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi's visit to Taiwan, the official KCNA said.

It is the due right of a sovereign state to take counter measures against the moves of the outside forces openly interfering in its internal affairs and destroying its territorial integrity.

"The United States should not dream of obstructing China's reunification. Taiwan is a part of China. The complete reunification of China is the trend of the times and an inevitability of history. We will leave no room for the 'Taiwan independence' forces and external interference," Chinese Foreign minister Wang Yi said in Phnom Penh on Tuesday.
