India conducts test-fire of anti-ship missile

NEW DELHI – India on Wednesday successfully conducted the test-fire of its first indigenously-developed naval anti-ship missile from Seaking 42B helicopter, an official statement said.

The test-fire was carried out in the seas off the Integrated Test Range, Balasore, in eastern state of Odisha, the statement said.

"This firing is a significant step towards achieving self-reliance in niche missile technology and reaffirms the Indian Navy's commitment to indigenisation," said the statement shared with the media.
