PM: Vietnam respects Russia ties, hopes to boost cooperation

HANOI – Vietnam's prime minister said on Wednesday his country always respects its relationship with Russia, and hopes to further boost their cooperation.

Pham Minh Chinh made the statement while speaking virtually at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.

Vietnam, which is keen to strengthen its relations with Europe and the United States, remains one of Russia's closest partners in Asia, ties that were developed during the Soviet era.
