Singapore reports 3,431 new COVID-19 cases

SINGAPORE / YANGON / MANILA / HANOI – Singapore reported 3,431 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the total tally to 1,904,192.
Of the new cases, 295 cases were detected through PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests and 3,136 through ART (antigen rapid test) tests, according to statistics released by the country's Ministry of Health.
Among the PCR cases, 269 were local transmissions and 26 were imported cases. Among the ART cases with mild symptoms and assessed to be of low risk, there were 2,950 local transmissions and 186 imported cases, respectively.
No death was reported from COVID-19 on Thursday, making the total death toll stay unchanged at 1,617, the ministry said.
Myanmar

Myanmar has confirmed 379 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the tally to 622,802, the country's Ministry of Health said on Thursday.

The death toll from COVID-19 in the country reached 19,458 on Thursday after one new death was reported, the ministry said.

The Philippines
The Philippines reported 2,536 new COVID-19 infections on Thursday, bringing the number of confirmed cases in the Southeast Asian country to 3,945,566.

The Department of Health said the number of active cases rose to 28,172, while 34 more patients died from COVID-19 complications, pushing the country's death toll to 62,916.

Vietnam

Vietnam recorded 978 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, down by 609 from Wednesday, according to its ministry of health.

All the new cases were locally transmitted, said the ministry.

The newly reported infections brought the total tally of COVID-19 to 11,477,886. The country reported a new death from the pandemic in the northern Hai Duong province on Thursday, bringing the total fatalities to 43,148.
