HK start strong in Women’s T20 World Cup qualifying

Hong Kong’s cricketers have beaten Nepal by six wickets in their opening match of the Women’s T20 World Cup qualifying tournament in Dubai

Mariko Hill was named player of the match after leading Hong Kong with 42 not out including four boundaries

Captain Kary Chan hit 17, while Natasha Miles added 16.

Hong Kong will face the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday in their second match. Malaysia, Bhutan, and Kuwait round out the Asian qualifying group.

The top team advance to the global qualifiers.
