YANGON / SINGAPORE / HANOI / MANILA / DHAKA – Myanmar has vaccinated more than 37.53 million people for COVID-19 as of Tuesday, the Ministry of Health's data showed.
The figures comprised over 30.77 million people aged 18 and above and more than 6.76 million people aged under 18 years old, the ministry said.
The health ministry confirmed 28 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the tally to 633,245 on Wednesday.
It added that health authorities tested 7,941 people for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, and the daily positivity rate was 0.35 percent.
The death toll from COVID-19 in the country remained unchanged at 19,488 on Wednesday as no new deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, the ministry said.

Bangladesh Wednesday announced a target of getting 9 million people vaccinated for COVID-19 under a week-long special campaign from Thursday.
Shamsul Hoque, member secretary of the vaccine deployment committee of the Directorate General of Health Services under the Ministry of Health, made the announcement, saying the campaign has been divided into two phases, publicity campaign and vaccination campaign.
Hoque said they are organizing the special inoculation campaign against COVID-19 to celebrate the month of Bangladesh's victory in the Liberation War.
He said vaccine doses will be administered on Dec 1-7 at 15,984 centers across the country during the drive.
About 73 percent of Bangladeshis have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccines, and 95 percent of people above the age of five have received the first dose, and 52 percent have received the third dose.

The Philippines reported 918 new COVID-19 infections on Wednesday, pushing the number of confirmed cases in the Southeast Asian country to 4,036,277.
The Department of Health said the number of active cases dropped to 18,043, while 21 more patients died from COVID-19 complications, raising the country's death toll to 64,641.
Metro Manila, the capital region with over 13 million people, tallied 306 new cases.

Singapore reported 1,370 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the total tally to 2,167,897.
A total of 135 cases are currently warded in hospitals, with nine of them held in intensive care units, according to statistics released by the country's Ministry of Health.
Singapore recorded no new deaths from COVID-19 on Wednesday, leaving the total death toll unchanged at 1,703.

Vietnam recorded 485 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, down 73 from Tuesday, according to the Ministry of Health.
All the new cases were locally transmitted, said the ministry.
The new infections brought the total tally to 11,515,908. The Southeast Asian country reported three new deaths from the pandemic in the capital Hanoi and the southern provinces of Tay Ninh and An Giang, bringing the total fatalities to 43,175.
